During 2021 -2022, the Citarum Research Center of Universitas Padjadjaran has collaborated with academics in domestic and foreign agencies, village to provincial governments, as well as communities and environmental activists in the Citarum River.
Collaborations with academics between the Citarum Research Center, Universitas Padjadjaran and Monash University, University of Indonesia, Indonesian University of Education, and the Indonesian Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) include:
- Biophysical studies for the revitalization of the Citarik Sub-Watershed, through hydrological, topographic, geomorphological, and geophysical studies.
- Assessment of organic and plastic waste, as well as wastewater for feasibility studies of ecotourism areas.
- Joint publication of research results, especially in the upstream Citarum River and its Sub-watershed. Through collaboration with academics from within and outside the country, it is hoped that the revitalization of the Citarum River will soon be completed and create better river environmental conditions.
This activity is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or commonly referred to as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in goal 6, namely Clean Water and Proper Sanitation and goal 14 Ocean Ecosystems.
In order for the programs that have been made by the Citarum Research Center to be achieved properly, the Citarum Research Center also collaborates with village and provincial governments.
